According to Inpia , the issue of exporting non-oil products to reduce dependence on oil and crude sales is always considered Undoubtedly, increasing the power of small and medium industries, which have a significant share in job creation, will create a special boom in the industry of production of goods, services and ideas. In this regard, the plastics industry is of special importance because statistics show the export of polymer It is one of the widest and most diverse types of exports in the country. In the first seven months of 1997, Iran managed to export about $ 982 million, despite all the obstacles created by sanctions. to have a polymer ( read here ). But apart from the issue of international sanctions, some domestic regulations and laws have been the most important obstacles for exporters to develop export markets, causing Iranian products to lose their competitive advantage over foreign competitors. One of these problems is the discussion of customs values and foreign exchange contracts .

The basic customs value of exported goods is set at three dollars per kilogram, which is due to the wide competition of the countries in the region and the wide range of product features. polymer , this number is not specified correctly. Exporters trade many of these products for much less than three dollars to maintain the target markets they have been trying to develop for years. Therefore, the Export Commission of the National Association of Plastic Industries and Polymer Iran to adjust this rate of various negotiations With the Iranian Customs Complex, the Trade Development Organization and members of the National Association have had to find a solution to solve these obstacles.

Following the coordination and consensus with the Customs Value Determination Committee of Iran, as well as in consultation with its specialized associations, the Export Commission examined the customs value proposal of the related products based on the calculation of cost-benefit of products.

According to a resolution obtained by the National Association from the Customs Valuation Committee, last week during a special meeting with representatives of four specialized organizations in the plastics industry (Pipe and Fittings Association PVC , Association of Disposable Tableware Manufacturers Polymer , UA Profile Manufacturers Association PVC and Geosynthetics Association Iran) examined the customs values of various plastic products to send to the customs and other relevant organizations for collection. In this meeting, the prices of different products of all types of plastic products were categorized and examined and their real prices were determined. By compiling and presenting this list, the National Association is now pursuing a realistic customs base rate for foreign exchange contracting so that both exporters can continue to operate and the government can use it to monetize in the face of sanctions. It is expected that with the recent stability in the exchange rate and economic conditions of the country, the first six months of 1998 will have more export figures than the $ 982 million in the first six months of 1997. Of course, this will be important in the shadow of reforming the foreign exchange contracting formula.
