The Iran Plast 18 exhibition concluded last Thursday, and it seems that we can now take a better and more detailed look at what transpired during the event.

From the reactions expressed by industry professionals and visitors during the exhibition, it can be inferred that this exhibition has shown significant growth compared to the previous one, both qualitatively and quantitatively.

Additionally, the media reactions have generally been positive, focusing on covering the exhibition news.

Apart from these aspects, the booth of the National Polymer Industries Association of Iran also experienced busy days, and it can confidently be said that it was one of the most visited booths at Iran Plast 18.

It is worth noting that the 18th International Iran Plast Exhibition took place from September 9 to 12 this year at the permanent exhibition grounds in Tehran.

In this exhibition, 288 foreign companies and 525 domestic companies participated. This international event was attended by countries such as China, Italy, Taiwan, South Korea, Turkey, France, India, Germany, Spain, and Russia.

The inauguration ceremony of the 18th Iran Plast Exhibition was attended by Shahmirzai, the CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, the brothers, deputy ministers of industry, mines, and trade, along with other officials and guests. During the opening, the director of Iran Plast 18 expressed hope that this exhibition would open new horizons for the plastic industry through the collaboration of participants.

One of the notable aspects of this exhibition was the association’s focus on educational activities. During the four days of Iran Plast 18, seven training workshops were held with experienced instructors from relevant fields. These workshops were well-received by the exhibition visitors.

Another significant event was the presence of students from various universities at the association’s booth. In response to their presence, the association’s secretary addressed the students’ scientific questions related to the polymer industry, facilitating an exchange of ideas.

On the media front, the National Polymer Industries Association of Iran provided extensive coverage of Iran Plast 18. In addition to the association’s public relations team, which published news updates in real-time, two media outlets, “Radio Economy” and “Iran Eco,” produced content in various formats related to the event.

This exhibition garnered substantial attention among economic and industry stakeholders.

Dr. Parsa, CEO of Plasticar Company, evaluated the exhibition, stating to “Inpia”: “We witnessed a good turnout of visitors at this exhibition.”

The manager of “Dan Polymer” also spoke with “Inpia” regarding the reception of Iran Plast 18, saying: “This year, the exhibition was more organized. In fact, since Mr. Doosti’s arrival, the approach of the exhibition has improved and is on an upward trend.”

Dr. Jafarzadeh emphasized that there are some infrastructural problems, but he hopes these issues will be resolved, allowing for the continued growth of Iran Plast.

He added: “Fortunately, this year, the Iran Plast exhibition did not coincide with a similar foreign exhibition, which is a significant advantage.”

The Vice President of the Export Commission of the National Polymer Industries Association stated that this year they witnessed a greater presence of foreign visitors, saying: “Fortunately, foreigners have gained a better understanding of the industry in our country. Additionally, there was better communication regarding the exhibition this year.”

Dr. Jafarzadeh expressed hope that manufacturing companies would engage and interact more with the National Polymer Industries Association of Iran.

Dr. Dashti, a faculty member at the University of Science and Technology, also evaluated Iran Plast 18 in an interview with “Inpia,” stating: “I found this year’s exhibition to be vibrant. Manufacturers and industry professionals participated in this exhibition with greater enthusiasm.”

He added: “In my opinion, Iran Plast 18 has seen about a 20% growth compared to the previous exhibition in various aspects.”

The head of the Industrial Risk Clinic went on to emphasize that the presence of industrial consultants was lacking at the exhibition.

However, Dr. Dashti noted: “In terms of the presence of foreign investors, I observed a significant foreign presence at this exhibition, which is a promising sign.”

He concluded by thanking the National Polymer Industries Association of Iran for fostering good relationships among manufacturers and industry professionals in this sector.

Hosseini Saleh Varzi, the former president of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, also commented on Iran Plast 18 in an interview with “Inpia,” stating: “This exhibition is very important in terms of its history, breadth, and especially its contribution to our economy and exports.”

He added: “Over 800 booths were present at this year’s exhibition, while we are experiencing challenging conditions, including sanctions.”

Saleh Varzi noted: “Moreover, the industry currently faces issues such as power outages, lack of currency allocation, and working capital shortages. Nevertheless, we see that the polymer sector and the Iran Plast exhibition are very active.”

The former head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce expressed optimism about this trend continuing.

Ali Sharifati, a member of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, also discussed Iran Plast 18 with “Inpia,” stating: “This year, despite widespread power outages, the plastic and polymer industry has not only remained resilient but has also showcased its strength at the exhibition.”

This economic stakeholder emphasized: “One important aspect of this year’s exhibition was the strategic alliance of some of our companies with Chinese firms.”
