The head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture stated: “To develop the trade relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, the private sectors of both countries need to engage, which requires establishing contacts and facilitating the travel of trade delegations.” Hussein Salavati expressed hope during a meeting with Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anazi, the new Saudi Ambassador to Tehran, that with the assistance of the Saudi Embassy, the private sectors of both countries can quickly establish good relations with each other.
He continued by stating that besides the bilateral trade of goods and services, there are other capacities for cooperation between the two countries. Saudi Arabia provides a more suitable route for Iran to access African markets, and Iran and the North-South Corridor are considered the best route for Saudi companies to access countries in the Eurasian region. Therefore, the two countries can have good cooperation in the logistics and transportation sector based on their common interests.
