According to Inpia and quoting Iran Plast Exhibition News Headquarters ; What promotes an exhibition from the national and regional level to the international level is the number of participants and visitors in that exhibition. In specialized exhibitions, the visit of trade delegations is more colorful, and especially in developing countries where exhibitions are a platform and help to improve the situation of production, industry and trade, attracting foreign visitors from export target countries has a deeper meaning.
Iran Plast is no exception to this rule; National Industries Company Petrochemical as the custodian of Iran Plast International Exhibition, in these years He has also been responsible for inviting and managing foreign delegations. The following interview was conducted with Kourosh Hassanpour, Head of Ceremonies of Iran Plast Exhibition.
– When did you start planning to invite foreign delegations to visit the 13th Iran Plast Exhibition?
This work was started by an experienced expert team and by examining the activities of merchants and traders from 101 countries of the world since December of last year (1397). The information of these people was collected in a database and 3000 businessmen were identified and selected, and the work of inviting them started from the beginning of 1998.
– What is the specific purpose and program in inviting foreign businessmen and traders?
Iran Plast Exhibition is a place for business and commerce. In this exhibition, a good opportunity is formed to start cooperation and trade between the producer and the trader, and our goal will be to implement this process as well and productively as possible.
– How many delegations (how many people) will visit the exhibition and what is their field of activity?
So far, the presence of 12 delegations in this exhibition has been confirmed, of which Iraq with three delegations and countries of Afghanistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Armenia, Kenya, India, Tunisia will each be present in this exhibition with one delegation. Individual traders are also from Italy, Ukraine, China, Romania, Russia, Syria and Lebanon. Our estimate is a total of 200 foreign guests, whose statistics will be finalized up to a week before the fair.
– What facilities will be provided to foreign visitors?
Our goal is to manage the time of these people in Iran in the best way. In this regard, services such as visa facilitation, accommodation close to the exhibition, guide and translator while visiting the exhibition, have been provided for these people. It is important for us to guide these people to attend B2 B meetings (Business to Business is to be able to form the necessary grounds for concluding contracts between traders and manufacturers in the shortest possible time.
– In what areas are these people active?
The exhibition includes sections of raw materials, machinery and technology, and finally semi-finished and final products. The activity of traders is also appropriate for different parts of the exhibition. In order to identify and invite the delegations, in addition to the specialized actions taken by our research teams, we informed all the organizations through the National Plastic Association of Iran to provide us with a list of their potential foreign customers so that they can participate in the exhibition. Be invited.
– Was this method effective? This possibility was also foreseen on the exhibition site. Was it welcomed?
I believe that the presence of guests with whom the organizations have cooperated in the past will be very useful. In this regard, two strategies were introduced to introduce these people. The first method was through the site and registration for the option of foreign guests that you mentioned, and the second method was to directly contact the ceremony team and explain the conditions for each company so that their guests could be invited if they were interested. A significant number of guests were introduced to us this way.
– This year, with the importance of domestic production and exports, Iran Plast exhibitors have high hopes for foreign delegations. What is your plan to attract more visitors to the area?
However, the role of the industry petrochemical and its valuation is not hidden from anyone and when successful We will see the maximum presence of foreign visitors. We have made many efforts in this direction, such as correspondence with the Plastic Association of a number of countries around the world and requesting the introduction of the exhibition, inviting the presidents of these associations to attend the exhibition, as well as environmental advertising in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, through the economic advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the joint chambers of commerce, coordination was made with different countries to promote and introduce this exhibition.
– It seems that the Trade Development Organization also has responsibilities in this regard. Was help provided by this organization?
