According to the public relations of the National Association of Plastic Industries of Iran ( Inpia ), the 15th International Construction Industry Exhibition After 4 days of activity, it ended its work on Wednesday, August 12th. One of the features of this exhibition period is the new conditions that have been entered into it after the agreement of Iran’s nuclear program with the P5 + 1 countries.

Although the sanctions have not been completely lifted and the real effects of this agreement are not yet tangible, its psychological effects can be seen in the market in general and in this exhibition in particular; The increase of about 30% of foreign exhibitors and the increase of Iranian companies can be evaluated in this regard.

The exhibition was also very important for some of the polymer and plastic units whose artifacts are related to the construction industry, so this range was also widely and actively present in the exhibition. The following is a brief overview of what plastic and polymer activists have to say about the exhibition, as well as the future.

– Do not consult specialized associations regarding the holding of the exhibition;
– Lack of planning side programs with predetermined goals;
– Lack of criteria in selecting production units with the aim of locating booths;
– Non-specialized exhibition;
– Inadequate cooling system;
– Lack of advertising to attract foreign consumers with emphasis on neighboring countries;
– Allocating booths to commercial companies;
– The presence of foreigners in order to find the consumer market and not investment and technology transfer;
– Absence of reputable foreign brands in the exhibition;
– The need for the construction industry to inject liquidity;
– Inadequate holding time due to hot weather;
– …
Other issues can and can be added to the above. It goes without saying that some of the problems of the exhibition are permanent and epidemic without anyone trying to solve it, such as; Cooling system, parking problem, traffic, etc.

The International Exhibition of the Construction Industry came to an end while this large industry is in a severe recession. Many manufacturers hope that the industry will wake up from a deep slump, at least next year, as sanctions are lifted and some of the blocked money is injected.
